EH Heart Specialist Private Limited (方氏心脏专科) is a comprehensive heart clinic in Singapore which offers a full range of diagnostic services and treatments for all cardiac problems. Our practice, led by Dr Eric Hong, was previously known as The Heart Specialists Medical Group (心脏专科医疗集团) from July 2010 to Nov 2010. Our team comprising of cardiologist, nurses, cardiology technician and admin executive, is dedicated to offering the highest quality medical diagnostic care and treatment options for patients with heart diseases. There are several components included in a patient’s visit to our clinic including risk assessment, comprehensive cardiac diagnostic evaluation, risk management, treatment of heart diseases, education, optimisation and rehabilitation of the heart.
Dr Eric Hong Cho Tek is accreditated to admit and manage patients in various hospitals in Singapore, including Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Gleneagles Hospital, Parkway East Hospital, Mount Alvernia Hospital and Raffles Hospital. He is an interventional cardiologist and a nuclear cardiologist in Singapore. As an interventional cardiologist, Dr Eric Hong Cho Tek performs various procedures (femoral and radial access) for treating cardiovascular disease.
He uses catheters – thin, flexible tubes – to get inside blood vessels for diagnostic tests, to remove clots or to widen narrowed vessels of the heart. As a nuclear cardiologist, he uses noninvasive methods in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease, the assessment of the pumping function of the heart and in the prediction of outcomes in patients with heart disease. The team at EH Heart Specialist Pte Ltd believes that it is crucial to contribute back to society and hence we contribute regularly to worthy causes. We make regular donations to organisations like Singapore Children’s Society and Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital. We regularly visit old folks’ homes and deliver food/ goodie bags to the needy.
We also do pro bono work where Singapore Cardiologist, Dr Eric Hong provides free medical care and medication for the needy. We work closely with social workers and voluntary welfare organisations.
Being a firm believer in the importance of nurturing the future generation, Dr Eric Hong has been a mentor for young students who do attachments in his clinic. This includes students from various schools and underprivileged children. Since 2012, Dr Eric Hong has been a mentor for the healthcare mentorship programme.
Under this programme, selected secondary 3 and 4 students spend time with Dr Eric Hong to observe him in the clinic, the wards and the operating theatre. Students who have completed the attachment will organise free health screening for the elderly in the community.
Dr Eric Hong is a Consultant Cardiologist and Internal Medicine Physician with over 20 years of experience. Dr Hong is doubly accredited in the United States in Interventional Cardiology and Non-Invasive Cardiac Imaging, and is a strong advocate for Cardiac Rehabilitation as well. A recipient of multiple service awards, Dr Hong is committed to treating each patient with a personalized plan with their long-term wellbeing in mind.
